Industrial harmony: workers participation in bipartite discussions is ventilating the pending grievances and it is always healthy practice for maintaing harmonious industrial relations.
Minimum wages Act is only applicable when the appropriate government has fixed minimum wages in respect of the category of workmen working in scheduled employment. Other words, the Minimum wages Act 1948 would not be applicable, if it is not appended in schedule of employment or the government has not fixed the minimum wages in respect of that category of employment.
